FRIENDS & FAMILY
“You can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family”, “blood is thicker than water”, “You can’t live with them, but you can’t live without them.” etc etc etc.
Families define your personality, your aspirations and your outlook on life. The only thing all of us have in common is that somewhere in our past it took the coming together of a male and a female to create us. From this point onwards, we all embark on a unique journey influenced by millions of variables.
As well as providing us with access to important networks, they also provide us with essential support both physically and emotionally.
Trying to maintain relationships with families and friends can be difficult, especially if you have moved away or things are strained. Obviously in some circumstances they can be irretrievable but if there is a chance of repairing them it should definitely be considered. Likewise if you haven't spoken to a friend for a while - a quick text can be all it takes to reconnect.
